Dolmabahçe Palace is a nineteenth-century Ottoman imperial residence on the European shore of the Bosphorus. The palace has rooms for state occasions and private quarters for the sultan's family. The grounds include gardens. The Crystal Staircase and the large Ceremonial Hall are inside the palace.
