Introduction
Kadıköy is a district on the Asian shore of Istanbul, beside the Sea of Marmara. Its center brings together ferry piers, commercial streets and a food market. To the south lies Moda, a residential neighborhood with cafés. In antiquity the area was known as Chalcedon.
